Starts at 11:00: Manningtree Railway Station. (CO11 2LH, TM094322)

A flattish leisurely circular walk around Dedham Vale and the Stour Valley. Lunch at Dedham (picnic, pub or cafe), then on to Flatfoot Mill (NT) for tea and cakes. Depart Liverpool Street at 10.00, arrive Manningtree 10.55. Mobile on the day only 07751 957 380.

Sunday 5 July                             Eastbourne Circular                                              9, 13 or 17 miles   Moderate

Starts at 10:15: Eastbourne Railway Station (BN21 4RD, TV609990)

A hilly cliff-top walk with spectacular views via Beachy Head. Lunch at Birling Gap (picnic or NT cafe), then Seven Sisters (actually eight) to Exceat for tea. Return through Friston Forest and East Dean (short break by church - water available). Possible drop-out points at bus- stop at Exceat (9 miles) or East Dean (13 miles). Depart Victoria 8.47, Clapham Junction 8.53, arrive Eastbourne 10.14.

Wednesday 8 July                     Wendover Circular                                                       10 miles       Moderate

Starts at 10:30: Wendover Railway Station (HP22 6BT, SP865077)

Climb up to Wendover Woods (highest point in the Chilterns, 260m) with coffee stop at cafe in the woods. Descend to the Hale, Hale Wood, Lordling Wood, Swan Bottom to The Lee (lunch at pub Cock and Rabbit or picnic on the green). Return via Chiltern Link. Depart Marylebone 9.42, Harrow-on-the-Hill 9.54, arrive Wendover 10.30.

Starts at 10:20: Bishopstone Railway Station (BN25 2QP, TV469998)Moderate pace with some hills. Across fields to Bishopstone village and over the downs to the South Downs Way. Pub lunch either in Alfriston or at the Plough and Harrow in Litlington. Afterwards following the Cuckmere river to Exceat and Cuckmere Haven, then along the cliff top to Seaford. Drop-out points at Alfriston and Exceat. Depart Victoria 8.47, Clapham Junction 8.53, East Croydon 9.06. Change at Lewes for the 10.03 to Seaford, arriving Bishopstone at 10.18. Along the banks of the Oxford Canal to the village of Wolvercote and then back along the Thames Path past the ruins of Godstow Abbey and Fiddler’s Island to Folly Bridge just across from Christ Church Meadow. Picnic lunch recommended with option of drinks at one of the popular pubs passed en route as they tend to be very busy. Short tour of the historic centre of Oxford and then the option of further independent sight-seeing and/or tea and cakes.
