Saturday April 4                        Golders Green to Archway.  Six miles.  Through Golders Hill Park and Hampstead Heath. Lunch or picnic at Kenwood; optional tea at Waterlow Park. Meet at Golders Green station at 10.00.

Wednesday April 8                    Wendover Circular.  Hilly 9 mile circular via Coombe Hill and Pulpit  Hill to Lower Cadsden (lunch). Return using the Ridgeway. Depart Marylebone 9.42, Harrow-on-the-Hill 9.54, arrive Wendover 10.30.

Saturday April 11                      Taplow Circular.  Six miles. Fairly flat. Lunch at The Oak and Saw, Taplow Village. Paddington 9:45, Ealing Broadway 9:53, Taplow 10:27.

Sunday April 12                         Box Hill and West Humble circular. 10 miles.  Hilly.  Lunch at Polesden Lacy National Trust (no need to be a member).  Morning via Norbury Estate and afternoon the North Downs Way.  Possible tea at Denbies Vinyard.  Depart Victoria 9.40, Clapham Junction 9.48, arrive Box Hill and West Humble 10.36.

Wednesday April 15                  Brighton to Hassocks. Nine miles. Bus to the start of the walk and lunch at Poynings.  Depart Victoria 9.37, Clapham Junction 9.42, arrive Brighton 10.30.

Saturday April 18                        Ely Circular.  

A 10 mile moderate walk along the Great Ouse, via , California and Church farm, with places of interest to be seen on the walk. A  picnic lunch in the Church farm area. Tea and cakes at the end of the walk.     Depart Kings Cross 9.14, change at Cambridge at 10.02 for replacement buses at 10.30  to Ely, arrive at Ely at 11.15.

Sunday April 19   Circular from Ely via Little Downham.

 

A 12 mile moderate Circular  walk along the Great Ouse, with Picnic lunch at Witchford  Tea and cakes at the end of the walk

Depart  Kings Cross 9.14, change at Cambridge at 10.02 for replacement buses at 10.15  to Ely, arrive at Ely 11.00.

Wednesday April 22                  Tring Circular.  Nine to 10 miles, exploring the Ashridge Estate, hopefully seeing bluebells. Lunch at Little Gaddesden and possible tea at NT café/visitor centre.  Depart Euston 9.34, Harrow & Wealdstone 9.46, arrive Tring 10.17.

Saturday April 25                      Appleford Circular.  Nine and a half miles.  Lunch at Clifton Hampden after visiting Sutton Courtenay. Depart Paddington 9.45, change Didcot 10.36 for 10.55 to Appleford, arrive 11.00.

Sunday, April 26            Perivale Wood Nature Reserve 2014 Open Day and Nature Trail
                             Open 10am to 4pm with last arrivals enjoying an hour before closing.

A once-a-year opportunity to visit this ancient woodland, usually only open to members of the Selborne Society who own and manage it. Visit Perivale Wood Local Nature Reserve, a nature trail through Ealing’s very own bluebell woodland. For pictures of the wood at bluebell time just put Perivale Wood in as a search term on the internet. Sale of plants and other goods.  Refreshments available.   Entrance in Sunley Gardens between 36 and 38 Sunley Gardens, Perivale UB6 7PE – a five minute walk from Perivale Station (Central Line). Wednesday April 29                  Chesham to Amersham linear. A linear walk of about 9 miles to Amersham with a pub lunch at Little Missenden after about 6 miles.  Moderate pace, not many hills.  Depart Baker Street 9.21,   arrive Chesham 10.16.  Please welcome a new leader.
