Welcome
Our Walks
West London Ramblers is based in Ealing and Hounslow, and has both local walks and walks further afield in the countryside in areas accessible by public transport from London. Our walks usually have a pub or cafe stop for lunch, but with thought given for a picnic spot for people bringing their own lunch.
Membership of Ramblers is a requirement of taking part, but prospective members are very welcome to try up to three walks before joining.
The West London Group produces a programme of walks six times a year. Walks are from 4 to 14 miles on most Saturdays and midweek. We also have occasional social events and holidays.
Enjoy walking with West London Ramblers
The group has to stay together, so give some thought to your level of fitness and the walk description, including level of difficulty, before choosing your walk. Look for distance, hills and pace of the walk. West London country walks tend to have a reasonable pace averaging 10 miles at about 2½ miles an hour, but there are shorter walks with an easier pace. A guide to walk difficulty can be found here. Please note that (rare) circumstances may prevent the walk leader being able to lead the advertised walk. Also, it is the policy of our group, to have a minimum of three people for a walk to go ahead. Any changes to the programme will be on our website, so allways check before going on a walk.
