We are undertaking four long distance paths, two on Wednesdays and two on Saturdays, with start dates staggered over the year. The full details of each walk will appear on our walks programme and website. People are very welcome to join us for occasional walks or to commit to the challenge of completing the whole trail.

Chiltern Heritage Trail
This trail was developed as a Millenium project in 2000 to link the many attractive towns and parishes of the district. It starts and finishes at Chesham and passes through some of the most scenic parts of the area with lots of historic points of interest. We have slightly modified it to enable easy access to rail stations and will walk the trail in 6 sections.
- Wed 18 June Chesham to Chorleywood (9.5 miles)
- Wed 9 July Chorleywood to Seer Green (8.5 miles)
- Wed 13 August Seer Green to Amersham (7 miles)
- Wed 10 September Amersham to Great Missenden (12 miles)
- Wed 8 October Great Missenden to Chesham Vale (13.5 miles)
- Wed 12 November Chesham Circular (9.5 miles)
The Thames Path
This is one of the most iconic long- distance paths covering 185 miles from the source near Kemble in the Cotswolds to Woolwich in London. We plan to do the first five walks from the source to Oxford over two short breaks in May and June, staying overnight locally as rail access is very limited. We will then schedule the rest of the sections as day walks on Saturdays through the summer and autumn of 2025 and then resume in spring/summer 2026.
The walks in 2025 are:
12 July Oxford to Abingdon 10 miles
9 August Abingdon to Shillingford 11 miles
20 Sept Shillingford to Goring 10 miles
11 October Goring to Caversham 12 miles
