The Greensand Way

The path follows the sandstone ridge which crosses Surrey and Kent, starting in Haslemere and finishing in Hamstreet, close to the Kent coast. The route takes in two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Surrey Hills and the Kent Downs – as well as numerous Sites of Special Scientific Interest. Much of it is quite hilly, providing spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The Greensand Way itself is 107 miles but with the links to stations we will be walking considerably further.

We began the trail in April 2018 and completed the Surrey sections by September. We resume the walk in April 2019 and will reach Hamstreet in October. Full details of the walks will be on the programme and web-site.
